Seeing Melissa Etheridge at Bluesfest -- she reminded me why I loved her as a little girl. Her capacity to connect with an audience with just her voice and a guitar is phenomenal. The rain slashing the tent under the moonlight while she belted out Bring Me Some Water was one of those moments when you had to be there.
