"I just jump in there and try to keep it swingin'."

More Tim Rogers More Tim Rogers

Do you remember the first time you saw The Last Waltz? What were your impressions? I was 17. Even then I thought the film was slick and not what I expected the band to look like, or even sound, live after hearing the records.

The Last Waltz is considered one of the best music films ever made — can anything hold a candle to it? Mad Dogs And Englishmen TORCHES it.

What made you choose the particular songs you're performing on the night? I accepted suggestions, but It Makes No DIfference would have topped my list anyhoo.

Will you sing your songs true to the original or put your own spin on things? Hard to say. I just jump in there and try to keep it swingin'.

Come on, own up — who are you jealous of on the night because they'll be singing a song you really wanted to sing? I'm essentially jealous of Paul Dempsey, so anything he touches, but sharing a stage with Kevin Borich is a dream so it all evens out.
