The Gooch Palms At SXSW Pt. 2: Soul Food, Being Rained Out & 'We Made It!'

It's done! We made it! And it was awesome! SXSW is done for another year and we're heading back west to finish our spring tour.

 

The shows were amazing, especially our last show for Burgermania. There was a line to get in so some folks missed out which was a bummer but hey, can't complain about playing to a full house!  We had a show run a little late due to a thunderstorm but things got back on track once it passed. It was so impressive to see everyone pitch in to get the stage up and running again for us (thanks Big White for stepping up Aussie style and lending a hand!!!). 

 

But the best part of the whole week was definitely hanging out with all the awesome friends we've made since moving here last year. It's like one big family with brothers and sisters from all over the country. So sappy but so true!!! 

 

So to sum up the whole SX experience we... ate some soul food, met some great people, saw a lot of good bands, crowd surfed, danced, partied hard and played some awesome shows! It was definitely a success and we're stoked that it's just the beginning of what is gonna be a crazy hectic year for The Gooch Palms!!!
