One of the more captivating filmmaking techniques can also be one of the trickiest - the one-shot. From extended one-shot takes in films (with some even filmed entirely in one shot), music video directors were soon to realise the effectiveness of this technique when it comes to matching the moving image with audio.

The 1990s saw the release of some extremely iconic one-shot music videos and we’ve wrapped up some of our favourites from Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, Erykah Badu, Green Day, Radiohead and TISM!
