Where are you from: Australia

What's your favourite thing about chipmusic/the chiptune scene? I think it's great how the scene is open to anyone, the required software and tools are relatively cheap and the community supports all sorts of music genres.

What track would you recommend newbies to chip music check out as a gateway song? That's tricky as there's so many genres covered in chipmusic! Escape from Zabutom's latest album Redux34 is a beautiful coalescence of chipsounds and guitar and a great introduction to chipmusic.

What influences your music the most? I'm greatly influenced by other people's music and the way vintage technology is pushed to its limits. I listen to many different genres and there's always something that inspires me.

What's your favourite piece of equipment and why? Favourite piece of equipment is a new custom hardware controller interface for the Sega Mega Drive! Thanks to the pro coding ability of my mate Xspheric (Alex Cichowski), this allows me to use a grid controller to perform Sega music live.

What's your favourite video game and why? Descent 3: fast, free movement

What can we expect from your set at Square Sounds? I'll be playing two Sega Mega Drives, one via MIDI keyboard and one with a grid controller and no laptop! My music is a mix of ambient downtempo and melodic upbeat.

What day and time are you playing at Square Sounds? Friday, 7.30pm!
