Hello LVLY

If you wanted to give someone a last-minute gift (or just treat yourself, even) you can choose a gift pack from Hello LVLY and they'll deliver on the same day (weekends and public holidays excepted). They change up their gifts, but so far they've featured bouquets of flowers, pot plants, donuts from Shortstop and hot chocolate (with marshmallows from Sweetness!) from Mork. All products from Hello LVLY are Australian.

Delivers to Melbourne, weekdays.

Egg Unlimited

Starting off as a bespoke bakery in the late '70s, Egg Unlimited has now become a renowned caterer (and maker of miniature sweet goodies!). They have a few kinds of breakfast and lunch boxes (or hampers) to choose from. One example of a breakfast box includes Greek yoghurt with a hint of honey; mushroom, feta and lemon thyme tart; zucchini and feta souffles; egg and bacon buttermilk roll; fresh fruit; and a freshly baked spiced pear and apple muffin. A little bit of everything!

Delivers to CBD and inner suburbs, every day (order in advance).

The Hungry Samurai

Freshly made sushi is The Hungry Samurai's specialty and unlike some other delivery services, their minimum order for free delivery is just $10. As well as sushi rolls and packs, their menu includes rice paper rolls, four kinds of Asian-leaning salads (in sizes small or large), cakes and other desserts, plus edamame and seaweed salad. They even have soft drinks, juices and freshly made coffee!

Delivers to selected locations, Melbourne, weekdays.

Wholesomeness

Fresh paleo-style meals (dairy- and gluten-free) made from locally sourced ingredients. Some of the options on offer include balsamic-braised beef with roast pumpkin, beetroot and greens; coconut cashew curry with cauliflower 'rice'; Spanish chickpeas and kale with polenta cake; raw cacao chia berry pudding; protein bliss balls; and cold pressed juices.

Delivers to Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich and Sunshine Coast, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Caveman Kitchen

The menu changes every week but you can be sure that it'll always consist of healthy, tasty meals that are gluten-, grain- and (mostly) dairy-free, like Jamaican jerk chicken, Thai fish cakes with Asian greens, Indian beef balti, Spanish chorizo frittata and slow-cooked beef stew. You have to order in five- or ten-meal packs but hey, grab a mate or two to split it with and you're all sorted.

Delivers to Brisbane, Mondays.

Spruce Kitchen

It's simple: choose a salad or a sanga, with one side or three. The menu changes every day but as an example they've offered roasted pumpkin and quinoa salad; roasted cauliflower and eggplant tabouleh; harissa roasted chicken on Turkish bread; corned beef brisket on light rye with pickles, raclette, watercress and sour cream mayonnaise; and sides such as smoothies, brownies, and watermelon and mint salad.

Delivers to Brisbane, Tuesdays to Thursdays.

My Little Panda Kitchen

Annabelle McMillan whips up vegan lunch boxes (three courses, with pun names, and often with an Indonesian lean) and sweet treats and delivers them by bicycle. The menu changes every week and consists of two boxes to choose from. For example: Cinnabun Girl (caramelized onion, potato and thyme quiche; roast cauliflower salad; sticky cinnamon bun with lemon cream cheeze frosting) and Waiting For Gadot (gado gado - steamed mix veg salad with spicy peanut sauce; perkedel kentang - spiced potato fritters; bubur ketan hitam - black sticky rice with coconut cream). McMillan also makes drool-worthy cakes to order.

Delivers to Sydney and inner suburbs, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays.

Poppy Street Pantry

A former lawyer and former banker are the team behind poppy Street Pantry. Every day they cook up one dinner meal to order (with a veg option available), and deliver between 3-6pm. If you like something balanced between the hearty and healthy for your winter dinners, you'll be happy with the selection. You can opt for dessert or other add-ons, or go for the Take Home for Two option to save a bit of dosh!
