“People grow and change over time."
WA alt-rockers Triggerlip are injecting new life into new wave emo and pop punk with their latest single, Foundations.
The new cut follows on from recent single Breathe, which was the band’s first new music since their acclaimed 2018 EP, Your Dear Life; a release which saw them undertake extensive touring and support The Faim, Citizen, Turnstile and more across the country.
“Foundations centres lyrically around the melancholic emotions that a person is prone to feeling when looking back on their past, reminiscing of moments that will never be replicated again,” Triggerlip told The Music.
“People grow and change over time, as this growth occurs, ideas and goals that a person may have had, evolve and change. Foundations addresses this juxtaposition and the emotions that come with it.”
