SINGLE PREMIERE: Market – ‘Circles’

“It’s about those small conversations that expose bigger, more fundamental differences you have with someone."

More Market Market Profile

Melbourne indie pop artist Market, aka Lee Hannah, has treated fans to another single from his forthcoming debut EP.

Circles, a lo-fi bedroom pop track that channels the likes of Mac DeMarco and Beach House, is about “conversations that skirt around fundamental differences, with the content never really quite getting to what's actually important".

"I wrote Circles as a real rough demo a year ago,” Hannah told The Music

“When I went to Adelaide to re-record/finish the EP I just couldn’t find the same vibe, so most of what you hear is real lo-fi and still left in from that early late night demo.

“It’s about those small conversations that expose bigger, more fundamental differences you have with someone. Those bigger issues are harder to address, so you keep going around in circles with the small stuff."

Market’s self-titled EP is out June 27.
