SINGLE PREMIERE: Holiday Party – ‘No One’

"A song about trying to move past someone that has been part of your life for too long."

Before they hit BIGSOUND next week, Holiday Party have unveiled their first new single for the year.

The Brisbane duo – comprised of Mel Tickle (Little Scout) and Luke McDonald (The John Steel Singers) – enlisted a local choir featuring May Lyn, Jamiee Fryer (Major Leagues, Pool Shop), Jolie Chatfield (Simi Lacroix) and more to take the song’s powerful lyrics to the next level.

"No One is a song about trying to move past someone that has been part of your life for too long,” Holiday Party told The Music.

“Whether it’s a partner in a dying relationship, or a friend, or a version of yourself. Feeling like you are leaving someone behind - especially when you don't want to - is such a hard thing. The theme of the song came from trying to come to terms with that."
