'The sound equivalent of smashing open the doors to blinding daylight after years of darkness.'
New Zealand native Eden Mullholland is no stranger to an angst-filled track and his latest single Forwarding Backwarding, premiering on theMusic.com.au, might be his stormiest yet.
Originally written for a live dance performance several years ago, Mullholland repurposed the tune for release with commanding brass; his striking vocals battling for dominance with a climatic crashing cacophony of percussion.
“I wanted to find a way to beef it up with instrumentation, and have the end section be the sound equivalent of smashing open the doors to blinding daylight after years of darkness,” Mullholland said.
The single comes with the exciting news that the singer/songwriter has signed an international recording deal with US label AntiFragile. Mullholland joins the likes of British India and Tia Gostelow on the AntiFragile artist roster.
