Adelaide trio Battlehounds are all set to step into the spotlight over the next few months as they release their impending EP, Damn Demons, and hit the road for an east-coast tour in support this May.
The boys are preceding the upcoming release with new single Night Crawl, a blistering, fuzz-laden and dynamically rich effort that picks up where previous singles Good Man and Visions left off in demonstrating their copious talents for penning scorching and deeply satisfying garage-rock tunes with apparent ease.
We say "apparent" because, according to vocalist Alex Rajkowski, the band's path to getting the EP ready to release was anything but easy.
"We took most of last year off to write the EP from scratch after blindly bumbling our way through gigs and recordings not knowing what we wanted to do," Rajkowski said in a statement. "We finally decided that it was time to do it properly and to try and put something out that we were really proud of.

"The songs are pretty introspective from my point. We've all battled through some shit but we all deal with it differently and this was my way. I've never denied that to myself in my writing."
Battlehounds' Damn Demons EP will be released on Friday 28 April via Mirador Records.
They head out for their four-date tour from Thursday 4 May, getting under way with a show at Frankie's Pizza, in Sydney, with The Tommyhawks; they also play Wollongong (with The Cherry Dolls), Melbourne (with Lorikeet and guests) and Adelaide (with Young Offenders).
