Single title? Valleys
What's the song about? It about becoming useless to yourself and the world because you are too messed up trying to fix someone else.
How long did it take to write/record? Wrote it in one sitting more or less then fine tuned parts over a few months, recorded in a couple of days in London.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Valleys is the lead single from the forthcoming debut album getting release at the end of the year.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The Yeats quote: "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity." I wanted to write a big unifying rock anthem with powerful apocalyptic yet beautiful imagery.
We'll like this song if we like... Royal Blood - Figure It Out.
Do you play it differently live? The intro drum section is played with a modified guitar part to fill it out in the absence of drum distortion.
When and where is your launch/next gig? 25 Jul, Rosemount Hotel, with Trigger Jackets, Digital Order and Just Numbers.
