Single title? a e i o u

What's the song about? It's about childhood memories and learning. If you listen carefully, you can hear a teacher reciting "A-E-I-O-U".

How long did it take to write/record? The electronic parts were written about a year ago and we've been recording since. We thought it would make a great single and opener, so we added some guitar parts to the already existing song.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Yeah, we are currently recording an album. To be released in the hopefully not too distant future. It's the first song from the album and sets the scene.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? During the writing process, we were listening to lots of dark, ambient pieces. We really wanted to replicate that mood in our own way. During the recording/mixing process, we used the film clip for inspiration.

We'll like this song if we like... Tycho, Slowdive, Boards Of Canada, My Bloody Valentine. Dream pop, shoegaze or ambient and electronic music in general.

Do you play it differently live? Not really. We might play with different use of effects live, but it stays very true to its form, generally.

When and where is your launch/next gig? We are launching a e i o u 5 Sep at Evelyn Hotel. It's part of Harmonic Divisions 2 with Tangrams, Wise Child, RKDA, Civique, Togetherapart and Spiral Arm.
