Single title? Easy, Love
What’s the song about? How not-easy it is to love someone. But also it’s about yearning for forgiveness and understanding.
How long did it take to write/record? I was in the middle of working on the EP in September last year. I spontaneously wrote the song while up in Brisbane. We decided that we liked it and squeezed it on the EP.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? This is the second single from my forthcoming EP, Oncoming Clouds, which will be out in Australia in June.

What was inspiring you during the song’s writing and recording? I guess at the time I was contemplating my relationships with a bunch of people and they all mashed into a powerful feeling in that moment I wrote the song.
We’ll like this song if we like... Stompy driven folk with banjos, that isn’t (I hope) outrageously tacky. Maybe a little like some of The Lumineers’ work.
Do you play it differently live? At the moment I reproduce the song with my buddy Todd Sibbin on the banjo, but we’ll have a band in full swing a little later in the year.
When and where is your launch/next gig? You’ll be able to catch the Easy, Love single launch at Vinyl in Adelaide with Olivers Army and Packwood on 28 Mar.
