What's the song about? It's from a child's perspective looking at the world — namely me and is a celebration of Dad's life.
How long did it take to write/record? I wrote the song over a few hours late at night. The arranging took place in the studio experimenting with harmonies and the chanting-like mouth percussion. That was a few days of fun work.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It's my second single off an upcoming release. What that is will be announced later :)
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The song kinda had to be written because it allowed me to celebrate and ponder memories of my father. I also loved making rhythms and playing with some of the song's influences you can hear.
We'll like this song if we like... Erlend Oye, Devendra Banhart maybe. Roy Orbison, African/island rhythms. MJ'ish dancey vibes… Some people mention Antony Hegarty, The Lion King.

Do you play it differently live? Yeah, I definitely add some surprises especially with the mouth percussion. The launch will be with full band including the magical synth and beautiful backing singers :)
