Single title? Smokestack Lightnin'

What's the song about? It's a collection of verses and lyrics I had floating around in my mind for a while.

How long did it take to write/record? We recorded it in one day at a session, along with the rest of our debut EP In My Time of Dyin'. I don't think any song on the record had more than three takes.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It's the third track and the lead single from our debut EP In My Time of Dyin'. 

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? With recordings I've always been inspired by how the old blues guys used to make records in just a few days. There's something very special about the fleeting spontaneity and imperfection of those records. 

We'll like this song if we like... Chris Russell's Chicken Walk, the best blues band in Australia.

Do you play it differently live? No, everything we put on record is exactly how we play songs live. I think you can do so much with just one guitar, vocal and drums.

When and where is your launch/next gig? We're starting off our Smokestack Lightnin' Tour on the Wednesday, 25th of November at the Labour in Vain. It's going to be a hell of a Wednesday!
