"We add an extra solo live because we just can't get enough of that instrumental duel between the guitar and fiddle."

Single title? Hole In My Shoe

What's the song about? Can't get more country than a break-up song! Shoes could be a metaphor for moving on, finding the right fit.

How long did it take to write/record? It's changed since writing in Aug '14. Was a five-month evolution from a folky tune with bare bones chorus and verse, to the band's Floyd makeover, to playing the song live, and recording later on.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Yes, from our upcoming album Country Perk, for release at end of April.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? Hearing the band's interpretation of the song and the transformation of my slow folky tune into a jumpy bluegrass infused number. AP came up with the catchy riff, band jammed the tempo, and hey presto!

We'll like this song if we like... We prefer not to pigeonhole our sound, but, if a rootsy bluegrass feel taps those toes, you'll like it.

Do you play it differently live? We add an extra solo live because we just can't get enough of that instrumental duel between the guitar and fiddle.

When and where is your launch/next gig? Single launch, 28 Feb, Lefty's Old Time Music Hall. Supported by Heartworn Highway.
