Single title? Sullen Scenes
What's the song about? An overwhelming feeling of impending doom conflated by negative images spread via media and news forms.
How long did it take to write/record? The song fell into place very quickly, written within a day or two. The recording process was a little more drawn out due to a fun little misadventure in acquiring stems to finish the vocals.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Sullen Scenes is from a forthcoming debut EP that is hot on its tail.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? Apart from that sob spiel earlier, the band was fresh and we were really fuelled by being as unpredictable and interchangeably heavy as possible.
We'll like this song if we like... Unpolished, balls to the wall, '90s grunge inspired rock with odd tempo changes.
Do you play it differently live? Basically the same because our objective was to capture an accurate representation of our live sound, apart from being at liberty to add a few extra layers of guitar.
When and where is your launch/next gig? Our single tour kicks off at The Bird on May 28 with killer supports, Pat Chow, Black Stone From The Sun and Sly Withers.
