Single title: Ain't Nothin'

What's the song about? Unrequited love. Delivering the message to a friend who keeps asking for advice, but they're not picking up the hints.

How long did it take to write/record? Jon Fernandes and I write weekly. We wrote Ain't Nothin' over a couple of sessions. We recorded with the amazing Dan Carroll at RADA Studios. 

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? The plan at this stage is to release an album in 2016 with all new tracks. These songs are part of a vinyl series with a comic penned by Jon and illustrated by Richard Heath.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? We were writing for a Fringe show we made. A show about love. Whether people identify as Heartless, Heartbreaker, or as Heartbroken. But we write from what we know and our experiences.

We'll like this song if we like... Heavy groove, horns and soul.

Do you play it differently live? Some parts were written and played by Dan Carroll, but live we don't have the luxury of having two or three guitarists or three horns.

When and where is your launch/next gig? We're supporting Mojo Juju at Mojo's on Sunday 11 Oct.
