Single title? Vodka Ocean

What's the song about? It's a tale of woe and misfortune based around events that took place after Frank Ocean's cancelled Splendour appearance.

How long did it take to write/record? The track was recorded by the masterful Joseph Cheek at Island Studios in Adelaide over a weekend. The music was written quickly but has evolved pretty drastically from what it was in the beginning.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Vodka Ocean is our upcoming single. It is due to be released in the coming weeks for your listening pleasure. Keep an eye and an ear out for it.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? Frank Ocean's torn vocal cords heavily inspired the creation of Vodka Ocean, both lyrically and musically. Vomiting on people's stuff and other jerk-like activities are also very inspiring.

We'll like this song if we like... Vodka, oceans, vomit, the vomit-covered belongings of a loved one, swiftly played tambourine and fuzzy bass guitars.

Do you play it differently live? Recording the song definitely changed how we play it live. It helped us focus on what the most important part of the song is: the tambourine break.

When and where is your launch/next gig? Lost Woods are playing at Whole Lotta Love on Saturday 3 October with Pink Harvest and Blac Belladonna kicking off the night's festivities.
