Single title? Say It Twice
What's the song about? It's about being young and having big dreams but not putting in the work to make them a reality.
How long did it take to write/record? I wrote the chorus a few years ago but only revisited the song in April this year. Everything fell into place after that and it was recorded in just a day.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Say It Twice is one of four tracks I recorded at Rada Studios recently. It will become part of album #2 that I'm planning to release mid-2019.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? Inspiration came from my years after high school when I was trying to find my place in the world. The song has a party vibe with a trace of melancholy.
We'll like this song if we like... Confidence Man, Devo, Pnau, Cake.
Do you play it differently live? I've only played it solo/duo so it's been quite different live. I have some gigs booked with the full band though and can't wait to play it like the recording!
When and where is your launch/next gigs? The full band launch at Four5Nine 6 Dec has sold out so we're doing another at Mojo's 31 Jan. I also have a few solo shows in between.
