Single title? Make It Good
What's the song about? It's about moving to Fremantle and feeling at home in Perth, and hoping it lives up to my expectations.
How long did it take to write/record? I wrote it in about two weeks but then once we got into the studio we cut half the lyrics out to make it flow better.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Yep. We're releasing a new EP in February of next year. All the songs are about the Port City and people and spaces within.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? Fremantle's streets, bars, cafes, being drunk and riding your bike home, the beach, The Beach Boys,
We'll like this song if we like... 1970s pop rock. Imagine driving down the coast with friends as cargo ships monster the horizon while the sun sets.
Do you play it differently live? We used to until we changed the lyrics. It used to be more of a sing-along, but this version is better in our opinion.
When and where is your launch/next gig? We're launching the single at The Bird on Nov 24 with Marley Wynn, Petulant Clarke and BR Dalton.
