Tell us about the people behind the scenes?
Pat has been working in record stores for over 40 years. He has an undimmed passion for The Triffids, The Congos, Scott Walker, Little Simz and Jen Cloher. Tom is a sonic wizard and leads local outfit, Private Mountain. Tess also works with MESS and a bunch of local labels while spinning sounds on SkyLab, RRR, PBS and around town. Jay fine-tunes the overall aesthetic.

When and why did the store open?
2016. I had worked for other people for a long time (Dada Records, Perth, Augogo and Basement Discs) and had decided to put my passion into supporting the types of music/art that means the most to me.
What do your customers most know you for?
I'd like to think for being a passionate supporter and encouraging voice for a variety of local music/art

What is the best thing about running a record store in 2025?
People and the exchanges that lead to a new discovery or a renewed appreciation of a perhaps neglected gem. Working with local labels and artists.
What is the hardest thing about running a record store in 2025?
Too much coloured vinyl.
