What does your store specialise in? The biggest selection of quality, hand-built, European turntables, including high-calibre amp/speaker manufacturers to help curate an authentic analogue experience. We're just trying to draw beautiful sound from that gooey black wax we all love.
What's on high rotation on the store stereo at the moment and why? Zeppelin, The Stones, Elton, Eric, Creedence, Hendrix, Rodriguez, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Bob Dylan, Bowie and The Doors... to name a few. If it sounds like something from the Almost Famous soundtrack, we're playin' it.
What does a record store offer that clicking or tapping a button can't? Experience without ego. Most people at VR are buying their first set-up, and that can be intimidating. So we want to 'help' educate people with all this, not act like all-knowing vinyl virtuoso wankers.

Despite declines in other areas of the industry, vinyl is seeing an increase in sales. Why do you think that is? I think it's quality: sound quality without question, but also as a product itself. Records harbour intrinsic properties that we naturally attribute a sense of value to. They're innate and therefore difficult to explain. But they're there, unquestionably.
What have you got planned on Record Store Day? Discounting a tonne of hi-fi gear, vinyl records, and shelling out a neat selection of unique RSD releases. We've got Azura, the beautiful little ex-Brissy talent, doing a live set in the afternoon too.
