From Brisbane-based blogger, writer, photographer, stylist and recipe developer Sarah Coates comes a cookbook about the joy of baking, and sweets for every occasion — in fact, the chapters are broken up into suggestions for when you can have these treats. But really, you can have them whenever, you know?

That Sugar Hit!, named after Coates' popular blog, features more than 70 recipes for goodies such as the Filthy Cheat's Jam Donut, Salted Caramel Chocolate Crackle, Molten Brownie Jaffle, Passionfruit S'More Cones, the Drownie (Brownie Affogato) and Whipped Cheesecake With Honey-Soaked Greek Pastry. Don't worry, it's all balanced out in a chapter called Healthy Junk, which includes recipes for Super Easy Cherry Hazelnut Energy Bars. Brown Rice Pudding With Roasted Strawberries, and Raspberry Coconut Yoghurt Pops. There are even gluten-free and vegan recipes in there.

It's all presented in a book perfectly sized for both kids' and adults' hands, with a fun, bright colour palette and loud patterns galore. The gorgeous photos will most likely induce stomach growls.

Coates' blog was one of the Top 5 Food & Wellbeing Blogs in Australia in the Kidspot Voices 2014 competition, and is a finalist in the 2015 Saveur blog awards in the Baking & Desserts category.
