Canberra band Young Monks are ready to be the soundtrack to your chilled out summer. And in the tradition of Sticky Fingers by way of Mac Demarco with a bit of Tame thrown in for good measure comes Jarmin In The Dark - a five-minute opus that wanders without meandering and thumps without plodding. The story of Jarmin In The Dark allegedly goes something like this: After a night by a backyard fire at their home studio; contemplating the deepest questions in life and watching the fire’s embers splash out across the dark winter soil soaking up the vibe the group found themselves singing in harmony “Living it up, washing it down” AKA the track's opening stanza.
