PREMIERE: Whitefall - Causality (ft. TesseracT's Dan Tompkins)

Canberran metalcore outfit Whitefall are all set to release their debut EP, Origins, this Friday, and ahead of its unveiling, The Music is stoked to be hosting the premiere of the video clip for the band's new cut, Causality, featuring Dan Tompkins of TesseracT!

Causality is a thunderous, churning behemoth of chunky riffs, meticulous taps, frenetic, bass-kick-heavy drum lines and guttural vocals, its clip providing a black-and-white backdrop of the band shredding it up in the great outdoors and probably scaring the shit out of some local wildlife.

The track and its clip come ahead of Origins' release on 4 March, a swift first release from a band that only made their live debut in November 2015. Indeed, their nascent status makes the securing of Tompkins for a guest spot on Causality all the more impressive — though they had a helping hand in the process.

"Our producer, Dax [Liniere, Puzzle Factory] … told us he had a line to Dan Tompkins of TesseracT, so we emailed him and shortly after he got back to us, saying he was keen to record on the track," the band said in a statement. "It's a dream come true!"

Things are likely to only keep improving from here out for the ascendant ensemble, who will be announcing a series of live performances in support of the new EP in the near future.

Origins will be available on iTunes, Spotify and at Whitefall's shows.
