PREMIERE: The Love Junkies – ‘Past Intense’

“Past Intense is about being too drunk and high and running your mouth off about bullshit you'll regret in the morning,” frontman Mitch McDonald tells The Music of The Love Junkies' new single. It's a subject summed up perfectly in their new DIY music video.

The single came together “pretty quickly” as the band explored new songwriting techniques. “It was more of a concept than a labouring over ‘perfect’ chords or melodies,” McDonald explains. “Keep the verses tight and then get weird in the choruses. Four chords of fun.”

Past Intense is an exciting taste of what to expect from The Love Junkies' upcoming June EP — one of two EPs they'll release this year.
