Brisbane alt-rock outfit The Iron Eye are ramping up for the release of their new EP, Foreign Bodies, with the arrival of deeply groovy new single Just Started slated for early next month, and The Music is stoked to be premiering the track ahead of its official unveiling.
Boasting a sultry sneer, a chorus to hook you for days and even a stompy, sing-along-happy bridge, the track wastes no time in highlighting the three-piece's evidently voluminous strengths, assisted by the behind-the-scenes work of producer Tom Larkin (Shihad) and mixer Samuel K (The Getaway, Storm The Sky), from Melbourne's Studios In The City.
"Tom was all about the big picture," the band explain of Larkin's contributions, in a joint statement. "Even when we were getting caught up worrying about the little details, he always knew where the each song was going, even if we didn’t. He always knew how the record would come together in the end.
"The Studios In The City has a great culture about it. The studio has a great vibe, especially amazing for a rock band like us, with such talented engineers/producers (Jon Grace and Samuel K) who really helped us get over the line."

The Iron Eye only released their first single, Different, last year, but nonetheless steered the track to national airplay on Triple M (alongside seeing its video added to rotation on Channel V LOUD) in the wake of its release. They've cut their teeth on stages alongside the likes of Shihad, Grenadiers, Sydonia, Jericco, Nine Sons Of Dan, Sub Atari Knives and many more, including King Of The North, who will be supported by The Iron Eye at an upcoming show (Crowbar, Friday 2 September) that will also serve as their de facto single launch (along with fellow guests Hobo Magic and Smoking Martha).
Just Started hits radio as of today, and will be released officially on Friday 2 September. The Foreign Bodies LP will follow soon after.
