Sydney—bred quintet Teal are enjoying a fresh bout of momentum at the moment, currently on tour with renowned instrumental rockers sleepmakeswaves (playing ANU Bar tonight!) and garnering themselves a good deal of enthusiasm for their recent track Solitaires, released on Unearthed earlier this year.
Now, the lads stand poised to unleash a new wave of fresh, mature, wiser and more considered tracks on their forthcoming (as-yet undated) sophomore EP, the first taste of which comes today in the form of this live performance of new track External, proudly being premiered by theMusic.com.au.
With a range of obvious and nuanced influences such as The Dear Hunter, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, and Nine Inch Nails being cited by the band, you can expect an eclectic, layered mix of sounds and arrangements that are sure to see them well-placed to follow in their touring mates' footsteps and make a serious impact on the alternative Australian music scene.
See the Gig Guide or check The Music App for more dates when you catch Teal in action in the near future.
