PREMIERE: Tali Sing - On Call

Ascendant Melburnian muso Tali Sing is in the throes of some serious buzz at the moment, recently releasing new single On Call along with being listed as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.

He's about to embark on a whirlwind two-date tour — his first presented by the 123 Agency — with appearances at home in Melbourne (Thursday 7 April, Shebeen) and up in Sydney (Friday 15 April, The World Bar, with SUIIX) in the pipeline, but before he hits the road The Music is thrilled to be premiering the just-released video clip to accompany the plentiful electro-soul strains of On Call.

On Call — which features the guest efforts of Dominique — is a stylish R&B jam thick with electronic tricks and sonic treats, juxtaposing largely artificial instrumentation against palpable emotion, and provides a most worthy follow-up to Tali Sing's debut single Breathe In, which landed back in mid-2015, as well as fellow precursor Hiding, both tracks coming from his debut EP The Motions Of Heartache.

That release also emerged in the world to great acclaim, seeing the rising songwriter pack out Melbourne's Grace Darling Hotel in honour of its launch.

The clip for On Call utilises a black-and-white colour scheme, landscapes and tracking shots to paint its despondent picture, the elegant, sweet sounds atop the visuals providing a sharp contrast to the video's downcast aesthetic. It was filmed by TheSideWaysMonkey, with the track itself being recorded and mixed by Christian Scallan.

Tickets for Tali Sing's upcoming show at Shebeen are available now. Sydney details will follow in the near future.
