PREMIERE: Sunhaus - Realignment

Emergent Brisbane-based indie-rock quartet Sunhaus will release their debut single to the world on Friday 29 April, but The Music's got the goods well ahead of time to bring you the premiere airing of the new work, Realignment, today!

Centering on "an intimate yet melancholic story of unrequited love", the track aptly showcases the band's clearly formidable talents, revealing themselves to be adept lyricists and performers alike as vocalist/guitarist Aidan Geraghty and back-up vocalist/keyboardist Madeleine Kinraid operate in literal and figurative harmony. Fellow members Adela Lau (drums) and Dave Skitmore (bass) provide a capable, inviting bottom end to boot, resulting in a mature and enjoyable debut single in every measure.

The band has big plans for the accompanying EP from which Realignment is taken, with current estimations seeing the debut extended player stepping out in October, at which time the band will also likely announce their first east-coast tour to Sydney and Melbourne.

If you're local to Brisbane and you like what you hear, though, you can catch Sunhaus in action this very month at the New Globe Theatre, when they support Mike Scala — who'll be here as part of a world tour — on launch day, Friday 29 April.
