Just weeks after they released the track, we at theMusic.com.au are chuffed to be premiering the video for Sunshine Coast trio POP CULT's single, Sunday Mourning.
The song is the latest offering from the band's forthcoming EP, Cult Classics, and the video is the perfect throwback to the classics, with the video shot like an '80s banger (need we mention the trippy AF graphics in the background?).
Known for their party-starter hits, the Sunday Mourning film clip will allow you to get weird with POP CULT like you never have before.
"Sunday Mourning is an ode to the night before, dealing with the all too familiar depression of falling back to reality after being on top of the world," guitarist Callum Voller says, while bassist Tim Heinrich adds, "Our favourite songs are often those bittersweet pop songs - pretty and melodic on the surface but dealing with darker themes beneath. We tried to emulate that melancholic sentiment with Sunday Mourning."
