PREMIERE: Phia - Heartstrings

Melburnian experimental pop singer Phia — Sophia Exiner on her passport — is premiering her catchy as hell, cutesy new track Heartstrings today, a welcome taste of her upcoming debut LP, The Ocean Of Everything.

Heartstrings' whimsy calls to mind the musical stylings of Regina Spektor or Imogen Heap, but with the added bonus of Phia's unique use of loops and the African kalimba — essentially a thumb piano.

With The Ocean Of Everything due out in August, Phia will be launching Heartstrings at a launch show at Melbourne's Gasometer Hotel on 3 July.
