Scotland-bred, Melbourne-based troubadour Millar Jukes and his band The Bandits may have only been a band since early last year, but they've nonetheless recently dropped their debut self-titled EP and found the time to put together a video clip for sublime new cut Be Mine.
The Americana-influenced singer-songwriter brought together bassist Jazzy Fiske, drummer Ty Noble, lead guitarist Matt Sandilands and keyboardist Si Facius at the beginning of 2013, and it wasn't long before they'd transcended their gestation ground of Fitzroy to take stages with the likes of Sal Kimber And The Rolling Wheel, The Merri Creek Pickers and lauded songstress Krista Polvere.
His precociousness shouldn't be too surprising — Jukes comes from an inherently musical family; his brothers Stevie and Al play in rising Scottish outfit Vigo Thieves — and he and his band have done an infallible job of asserting themselves on the scene, launching debut single Love Me All Night to a full house at The Grace Darling Hotel last month.
Millar Jukes & The Bandits, featuring Love Me All Night and Be Mine alongside three other tracks, is available for purchase via iTunes now.
