In-form West Australian outfit Methyl Ethel spent 2015 showing Australia just how special a band they are, racking up acclaim at venues and festivals around the country amid releasing their lauded debut full-lengthOh Inhuman Spectacle.

The three-piece aren't the sorts content to rest on their laurels, however, and they've already got a packed few months lined up to keep momentum running high this year, including a forthcoming stint with St Jerome's Laneway Festival — kicking off in Adelaide on Friday 5 February — before they take off for the United States to show the Americans what those of us at home already know; namely, that this is a band armed with expertly crafted tunes and the showmanship to deliver them with aplomb whenever they set foot in front of a crowd.

In case you needed some extra reminding of how good these dudes are when they're in their element, The Music is stoked to present an exclusive look at part of Methyl Ethel's recent Remote Control Session at Newmarket Studios, where they leaned into some live renditions of their tracks, including Unbalancing Act, our featured vid today.

Kick back and enjoy the delightfully undeniable weirdness on display and head to theGuide or The Music App to ensure you catch Methyl Ethel in action at least once more before they depart for bigger things and broader horizons.
