Canberra native Kirklandd has unveiled the new clip for Right Now today — a cinematic, gangster movie-like affair that follows Kirklandd himself, saving a girl who has been kidnapped.
With the track produced by Cam Bluff and mixed by none other than Citizen Kay, Kirklandd says of the clip, "The film you’re now seeing was realised by Canberra’s own Nic Vevers. I’d seen his work on a number of Citizen Kay’s videos, and greatly admired his eye for cinematography. Our goal was to create a film that empowered every element of the track that I spent days crafting with Cam Bluff in his studio.
"Right Now is an eerie pursuit that sees its character go through hell (literally, I fractured my ankle on-set) to finally arrive at his most distant desires. What we’ve crafted is a cinematic narrative that enhances its climactic sound, and the concept I explored in the track - that what I’m chasing is ultimately attainable, and not merely a foregone conclusion."
