PREMIERE: KILA - 'Wishful Thinking'

Newcastle artist KILA has today unveiled her latest single, Wishful Thinking, premiering exclusively via The Music.

Wishful Thinking closely follows her 2021 single Psycho and a remix of Bring Me The Horizon's Parasite Eve. 

The track is a lesson in brutality, featuring hard-hitting vocals, rampant electronic bass and booming guitar riffs. 

KILA describes her latest effort as "an outcry from a dark place, a catharsis and release of emotions from a dark period of time in my life".

"Wishful Thinking is about not wanting to let anyone down, sometimes the only thing holding you together can be not wanting to disappoint or burden the ones you love with what's going on inside your head," she said.

"Sometimes on the darkest days you stare the reaper in the face and see paradise, but then look back to the people who have been by your side, and although the pain runs deep, you stay, at least for now, even if it's just for them."
