Meanjin/Brisbane-based r&b/soul artist teams up with electro-pop duo for addictive & sultry new single.
Meeting at the middle of soulful r&b and downtempo alt-pop is make it so easy, the new single from Jordan Briton featuring fellow Meanjin-based duo JUNO, out October 19 but premiering on Pilerats today.
Co-produced by Briton and JUNO’s Sam Woods, make it so easy pairs laidback drums with dreamy synths and twinkling keys, pushed forward by a funky groove laden bassline, while Briton and JUNO’s Kahlia Ferguson trade verses with their complementary vocal timbres.
Speaking on the inspiration for his new single, Jordan explains "On the surface, it's about a couple's first connection. Sparks flying. However, while we live in a fast world of swiping left or right in hopes of a genuine connection, for those who have the scars to prove, it takes time to really build something with someone that lasts. This part of love is difficult. But when you do meet the right person, it just feels so natural, effortless, and well, easy."
