The latest effort from WA-based singer-songwriter Joel Barker is heavy with 1970s pop-rock summer vibes, and its accompanying music video sets the scene for such nicely.
Written to capture the history and friendliness of Fremantle, the song’s accompanying film clip was shot around the area, with Barker telling The Music the inspiration came from the vibrancy of the town’s streets, bars, cafes and beach.
“Imagine driving down the coast with friends as cargo ships monster the horizon while the sun sets,” Barker said.
Joel Barker plays The Bird next Thursday, Nov 24, with Marley Wynn, Petulant Clark and BR Dalton in support.
