PREMIERE: Jamie Lindsay - 'Ya Gotta Go There To Come Back'

Following a five-year hiatus from music, Jamie Lindsay follows up the release of Nashville, Tennessee with another taste from his forthcoming album. It's titled Ya Gotta Go There To Come Back and we here at theMusic.com.au have the exclusive premiere.

Speaking to The Music, Lindsay said, “Ya Gotta Go There To Come Back is about getting off the couch and getting out there and experiencing life to the fullest."

"It's about the discovery of oneself through travelling and knowing where you’ve been, what you’ve done, what you’ve learned, so you can come back with a wider knowledge and understanding of what life means to oneself," he shared.

"The main guitar riff was something I had been playing around with for a while but could never find the right lyric context to fit it.

"There use to be an old Northern Territory tourist ad with the slogan, 'You’ll never know if you never go,' and I think one day that must of randomly popped into my head and I thought that could be a cool lyric idea to play on and so Ya Gotta Go There To Come Back was spawned from there.”
