Melburnian Dan Lethbridge has bestowed upon us the exclusive premiere of Everybody Says today, a haunting single hailing from his upcoming album, Inner Western.
With The Audreys' Taasha Coates offering up her vocals for the duet, the song is a heartbreaking look at the uncertainty that a relationship on its way out can bring. The video matches the sentiment perfectly — all wax-dripping candles, dark shadows and old-school letter writing.
Written while on tour with The Audreys, Lethbridge adds of the song: "We recorded the song on a cold Sunday morning the day after our Melbourne show. Taasha was pregnant at the time and she was easily lured in to the studio with the promise of chocolate croissants."
