Brissy's Thomas Calder — who you may know as the singer/songwriter of alt rockers The Trouble With Templeton — has birthed his new solo project, Daggy Man. To celebrate Calder's new solo venture, The Music is pleased to be premiering Daggy Man's second single, What You Desire, today.
What You Desire is a quirky, simple tune that starts off Calder crooning about blueberries, cinnamon and other very pleasing imagery of food, almost like a delicious recipe to match his delicate vocals. Soothing and relaxing, the stripped back track repeats the phrase, “Everyday I’m getting further and further away”.
Calder says of the song, "These songs are somewhat of a scrapbook, constructed from memories that may or may not be entirely accurate."
The song hails from Daggy Man's upcoming record, A Lazy Kind Of Pain, due for release this July.
