A song written while working in a boarding house for men with schizophrenia..

Returning after a bunch shows around the country, Castlecomer are back with a new single in Escapism, which will be a part of a special Double A-side 7" with the previously-released Fire Alarm. With that single being written whilst the band were at a really low ebb, Escapism works as a nice counter-point, it was written by lead singer Bede Kennedy while he was working in a boarding house for men with schizophrenia, and serves as a reflection on the human necessity to find ways to escape everyday life. The tune itself is a thumping piece of indie rock'n'roll, with driving drums and scuzzy guitars making it instantly dance-able, and damn catchy. Escapism will be available for download tomorrow, with the full double A-side due December 19.
