"We wanted to capture the entire spectrum of sound, colour and experiences from over the years as we evolved.”
The new release from Australian indie outfit Buchanan is bittersweet, celebrating the band’s 10th anniversary while also marking their final release.
The past 10 years have been huge for the Melbourne rockers, who spent a considerable amount of time in London and Los Angeles carving their path.
Premiered today via The Music, Buchanan’s first-ever mixtape, The Crayon Collection, features tracks from each era of the band.
“Over the course of two albums and three EPs we got to experience everything an artist can ever dream of: live TV performances, international radio play, millions of streams, awards, festivals and arenas, not to mention chart impressions in every continent,” vocalist Josh Simons said.
“With this final release and accompanying videos we wanted to capture the entire spectrum of sound, colour and experiences from over the years as we evolved.”
After saying farewell to Buchanan, Simons will turn his focus to music social network Vampr as well as co-writing duties with other artists.
