Australian house lord POOLCLVB is someone we've been backing for a while now, with his You + Me EP shining as one of this year's best home-grown house releases thus far. With remixes from the likes of Odd Mob and Hier already released, today POOLCLVB drops the final remix package for the EP's concluding single What You Want, with names including Dirtybird's Dateless stepping up to the plate to remix the summery jam. It also marks the end of the You + Me era for the seasoned house producer, topping off a wild summer loaded with shows and releases. To celebrate, we caught up with the don himself to quickly reflect on the EP's release and its accompanying tour dates, as well as a quick peek at what's next:

Hey dude – fresh off the back of the EP release, how’s everything been going? What’s been happening?

Hey ma doods! Everythings been a bit wild pool side since touring the EP over the summer so just enjoying a bit of time off from all the after pool parties.

How has the reception been to the EP and all the singles?

Pretty blown away and it’s humbling AF. It’s the fist time I've ever put myself out there with something so personal and the support from not just fans but also music platforms like Spotify and Apple has been incredible. Creating an aesthetic with not just the music but the artwork and story were so important to me and I think that’s what connected people so well, it’s sound and visual elements are relatable and real to so many people.

The final single – What You Want – includes remixes by Dateless, Rose and Ignay – which join names like Walker & Royce, Odd Mob and Stace Cadet on the other singles. They’re all really varied and each have their own positives, but were there any that you were particularly vibing? How stoked were you with the remixes as a whole?

I couldn’t be happier with the roll-out of remixers who’ve appeared across the EP. Stand out for me would have to be Walker & Royce, I've been such huge fans of their for years so it was an honour to have them on board, they felt they could take it to a darker place which was an epic contrast from the original. My Parisian pal Røse really rocked his take on What You Want, as did Dirtybird's Dateless and surprise newcomer Ignay. The original being a throwback 90s jam I really wanted to make sure we had something popping for the club and all these guys really delivered.

You’ve been doing a couple of dates around the place in support of the EP – how’d they go? Did the EP pass the tried-and-tested live test and get a good reaction?

I didn’t want it to end, but my body is appreciating the break. I got such a warm reception at every show and it's still a weird feeling when people actually know your music.

Now the EP is out the way, what’s next on the cards? Spending the winter low-key and heading back into the studio? More shows on the horizon?

Yeah keeping it semi low-key, got a remix for Motez which should see the light of day soon enough. Plus will spend the cooler months conceptualising some live elements for summer touring.
