Still basking in the success of their 2015 self-titled debut, Nothing But Thieves are back. The Essex alt-rockers quickly gained a name for themselves as one of the most exciting new acts amongst the alternative genre, with their self-titled debut album Nothing But Thieves being one of 2015’s most solid debuts, maybe even one of the best the alt-rock genre has birthed in a number of years. From top to bottom it’s hit after hit, from the howling opener Excuse Me to fan favourites Trip Switch and Itch. If the band and record are yet to catch your eye, then you best find some earphones and blast this bad boy:
Enough reminiscing the old, it’s in with the new as the five-piece are back with the first snippet of new music for 2017 with a new single titled Amsterdam. After teasing new music through a 15-second teaser on Spotify over the weekend, the band have today finally shared the track. Signature sounding, it’s as though the band never really left with Amsterdam sounding like their self-titled debut’s 17th cut. This isn’t the only piece of exciting news to come from the Nothing But Thieves camp though, the band also accompanied the new single release with news that they are indeed releasing their sophomore album this year, titled Broken Machine (no release date is known as of yet).
