What made you want to get involved with Newtown Festival Week? Always a great day to get out and celebrate this great community that we all love. We want to be a part of that and keep the celebrations going on into the night.

What is it about Newtown that makes it a great place to hold events or have a business there? Newtown specialises in good times. And it's the people that make that happen. We just love the opportunity to provide a fun and inclusive place for people to hang out and enjoy each other's company.

How would you describe Newtown to someone who hasn't been there before? Anything goes. Creative freedom without judgement. Excellence without pretense. Laidback, welcome and accepting. Beyond all, just full of people who care about the community and their place in it. Good times with good people.

What ways do you think Newtown could be improved? Whilst it's better than a lot of places around, there's still a lot of red tape that can stifle creative freedoms of local individuals and businesses. We gotta stay working to Keep Newtown Weird!

What are you doing to celebrate Newtown Festival week? There's some awesome live music lined up with The Drey Rollan Band at our rockabilly night on Thursday and after the festival we're featuring The Sweet Jelly Rolls and a DJ set by Jinja Safari!
