Iconic bars Bimbo Deluxe and Lucky Coq are known for their drinks and cheap pizzas, but they've decided to shake it up a bit, and have now added a new character to their menu! Iron Pies. Well, they're not exactly pies — they're a unique take on mouth-watering toasties.
For a classic, go for the That'll Do Pig (smoked shaven ham, tomato and deluxe cheese), The New Yorker (smoked salmon, cream cheese, dill and capers), or maybe fancy it up with The Bird Is The Word (roasted shaved turkey, gorgonzola and cranberry sauce). Vegos are covered with options like The Dhal Delight (curried lentils, coriander, spinach with a pot of spiced yoghurt), and the vegan Pop's Vege Patching sounds lush (roast pumpkin, spinach, sundried tomato, shaved zucchini and soy cheese). Finish with the dessert jaffle, The Presley (banana, peanut butter, Nutella and mascarpone).
Like the pizzas, you can get 'em for $4 a pop at specific times, but they're still a steal at $6 a pop all other times.
