Highlight Of The Year
Shit. A highlight? There were ten whole weeks that weren't consumed by fuckery, which included an epic bushfire benefit gig, Elton's farewell and a new location for Laneway. They feel like a lifetime ago, but in PC (post-COVID) times, Isol-Aid has stood out as a beacon of light, the huge plethora of amazing Australian music being released and, personally, co-hosting a new Australian music show on 2SER called The Tuckshop have redeemed this year to forget.
Prediction For Next Year
Once we are allowed out, MORE LIVE MUSIC THAN YOU CAN POKE A STICK AT. If musicians thought they were allowed to sit at home, they were wrong - gigs will be back with a vengeance and Australian live music will step into a new age. Oh, and Gang Of Youths will release new music and continue their takeover of the world.
